This type of magnetic separator is to be used to separate especially larger metallic magnetic particles of dirt from easily permeable mixtures transported on a conveyor belt. It is mostly installed above the conveyor, with horizontal turning through an angle of 90°, or above the end drum of the conveyor (see the drawing). Captured magnetic particles of dirt are carried away on side using a belt that turns around a magnet.

This variant of magnetic separator located above conveyor can be selected in the event that occurrence of magnetic particles of dirt is not so extensive and this magnet can be cleaned manually at least once during a working shift. In the event that dirt would not be removed from the magnet regularly, the magnetic force would be in steps reduced considerably.

Benefits consist in a simple installation that does not require any modifications of the design of the conveyor belt and the possibility to approach the separator as close to the material transported as possible, thus achieving maximum utilization of magnetic lines of force.

Hang the magnetic board using lifting lugs situated above the conveyor belt. As a standard, magnetic boards are fitted with ferrite magnets. By request we can also use very strong neodymium NdFeB magnets. Also by request we are prepared to manufacture magnetic boards with any dimensions.
