Magnetic separator (magnetic filter) for liquid and easily permeable mixtures - AUTOMATIC CLEANING
This type of magnetic separator is intended for trapping metallic magnetic particles in a stream of mainly liquid substances. It is fitted with very strong permanent magnets in order to prevent in carrying magnetic particles away by a stream of liquid. These are neodymium-NdFeB magnets that have several times higher magnetic induction (magnetic force) when compared with standard ferritic magnets which would not be able to hold metallic particles from liquid.
As a standard, we produce separators with input and output diameters of 50, 100, 150 and 250 mm. Magnetic separators can also be delivered in a two-shell design for internal shell heating (separation e.g. from chocolate).
After start of automatic cleaning process, the magnetic cores are shifted out from the stainless steel tubes in the upper portion of the magnetic separator. Washing out water will remove the trapped metallic particles completely and these particles can be discharged from the separator through the valve in the bottom part. Before starting the cleaning process, it is possible to utilize another valve through which you can discharge residual material which remains in the body of the magnetic separator before its cleaning (see the above reference).
The magnetic separator is controlled by means of FESTO pneumatic elements and the cleaning process is controlled via SIEMENS electronic system.
